liechi berry itself is ok (<1/4 hp get +1 attack), but the special thing about it at the time was that was the only way to get it. in fact i don't think you get them any other way until 4th gen. since liechi berry can already be gotten in gen 6, i imagine it will be replaced with one of the other unreleased berries (hopefully custap)

I personally think they should make it unlocked through a more sane set of circumstances. Probably something having to do with using online features. Maybe making a certain number of trades on GTS?

I played Gen 3 for YEARS when I was younger, and I never saw it. Not in Sapphire, not in Emerald.
