Just listen to that progression. It's the perfect theme to symbolize a grand adventure. The snare drum sounds like it's marching you along, while the trumpets are your fanfare, painting out the road for you as you take each step. The crescendos of the base drum into the cymbals crash really adds to the big impact the theme leaves on you. And the piano accompaniment followed by the (synth/string?) instrument playing in semiquavers perfectly compliments the slow march and really gives the piece a strong sense of texture and makes you feel like you're being surrounded within the hoenn region as the music paints the scenery.

I downloaded a 30 minute loop of this theme and i play it to give me inspiration whenever i feel down!

I loved everything about Hoenn, EVERYTHING, water, trumpets, everything, but this particular part of the Hoenn for some reason stayed with me.

Could be because I was stuck there forever cos I couldnt find my way through that cave cos I had no idea what Flash is for, cos I was 10, alright? xD lol

i've never said this before. Ruby/Saphire has an interesting significance in my life. The year it was released was the year south LA had one of the worst floods it had in Decades, it hailed and pour water like crazy. meanwhile i'm playing saphire and Team Aqua has activated kyogre and theres a huge flood in the game. It felt weird.. First of all I was terrified I was a dumb 10 yr old, our house was above street level and the water level was nearly reaching 3 feet high. We would look at the neighbors across from us and the houses looked like boats and we were stranded. The game was with me, in a spiritual sense.
Plus it was the only fucking thing that kept me sane during a road trip my family and I went on
