This is a 2004 game, gen 4 didnt start until 2007. Thats kinda far apart for hype isnt it?

You should have noticed that there was a Bonsly statue, too.
It was to introduce new pokemon for the next gen, like in the anime with Ho-oh and Togepi.

Gen 3 and the lead up to gen 4 was the best time to be a Pokémon fan.
The anime was so good, especially when gen 4 mons appeared, ESPECIALLY when May got a Munchlax. I loved Munchlax so much back then.

Anon; X and Y were revealed and released in the same year.
What the other anon meant were when mons were revealed WAY early, like Wynaut and Azurill for gen 3, Munchlax and Lucario for gen 4 and Zoroark for gen 5

Based on what I hear, it tries to be emotional with it's plot but completely falls flat because it tried way too hard and was way too wordy.

Also the gameplay looks worse to me.
