I'm worried that if I keep them there for too lpng I'll never complete my dex. Or perhaps for breeding and stuff. Only problem is trade evolution.

I believe they have an official time limit on the PGL and/or Pokemon Bank website or something like that, though I can't remember what it is. I believe it may be 6 months or something like that. It's pretty cheap to get a pass for a year, anyway. Plus, if you get an Action Replay Powersaves, you can use PokeBank to clone.

pokemon on pokebank are never deleted. If your subscription runs out, you can still open your bank and take things out; you just can't put anything new in

pokemon are only like what, 512 bytes? storage space isn't a concern

How big is a .pkm file as of gen VI anyway? They've got to include stuff like IVs, EVs, markings, currently learned moves, shininess, OT and related values, ribbons, date/where met info(?), memories(?) and now egg moves that can be relearned must be saved to these files and so on. Granted this doesn't sound like it would result in a large file.
