so /vp/ Hoenn came out when I was in my preteen 3edgy5me phase so i didnt play it, but with the remakes on the horizon im wondering if i should play the originals first.

so here is my questions, first of all should i just wait for ORAS and if not should I just play emerald or should i play ruby or sapphire?

Depends how good the remakes are. If they're beautiful, then you'll be fine playing them. If the transition to 3D ruins them, the originals will be worth playing. The gameplay won't change, 'course.

Just play ORAS. It's probably going to be practically the same thing and by playing the originals now you'd only burn yourself out for the remakes. Going into ORAS as a Hoenn virgin is something special in and of itself, I'd say.
If you must, go for Emerald over Ruby and Sapphire.
