they both have their pros and cons

physical gets the nuke that is close combat and a useful extreme speed, but only good steel stab is bullet punch. Its also weak to burns and intimidate.

Special has less power off the bat, doesn't get extreme speed, but has a much better steel stab and vacuum wave. Doesn't have to worry about burns.

Both are good

Im kinda thinking of running a Lucario team. Ive been using my Speedboost Scolipede with Sword Dance to Baton Pass to other Pokemon, but I figure maybe I could get it to boost a Sp Attk instead and baton pass to a Lucario with both Attack and Special Attack just in case Im not sure what my opponent will put against me

Remember you're talking about the same guys who didn't allow to use Blaze Blaziken and Moldbreaker Excadrill outside OU and Ubers respectively but then they let Garchomp go and run around OU if it didn't had Sand Veil one Gen ago.

Look Lucario is my favorite pokemon call me what you will but Mega Lucario is very strong, not much can swap in on it safely yes might be frail but so is Deoxys attack

plus the boost to it speed helps it out alot to outspeed its threats in 5th gen Garchomp,Terrakion etc etc
and its amazing Move pool really hard to find out what set lucario has with out something dying

C'mon is not really that hard to battle against, it doesn't even have that much of chances to set up and you can always throw your intimidate mon to force a switch.
It is frail as fuck and weak to burn, if you're worried about speed you can always take it down before it Megaevolves and I'm pretty sure you can because everybody and their mother carries Earthquake.

I'd say you should play him special in all double battle formats, physical otherwise. In 6v6 intimidate and burn are not that common. (mostly because everything with intimidate can get moxie, wich is just better there)

Burn is extremely common in 6v6. Any mon that can run a burning move generally does. Scald and W-o-W are really popular moves on the pokemon that get them. Some people even opt to run both scald and surf/pump on keldeo, sometimes even only running scald and no surf/pump at all.
