Has anybody ever used Walrein? Is it even usable? Maybe a bulky specs set or something? I just think it looks really cool, and want to be able to use it.

You use the ice body ability and start hail. With backup from Rest or whatever he makes a decent piece on a Hail team. He was better back when Snow Warning lasted indefinitely instead of five turns. If you're using him for specs, Lapras is generally better. Hell, Walrein's main problem is that Lapras outclasses him most of the time (better movepool, mostly).

Why is it that nobody knows what to do with Ice types? It's like everyone thinks they suck if they aren't Kyurem or Cloyster.

For EV's, max HP and split the defenses. I think.

It might also work in gen 5, replacing the attacking move with scald, but I don't know. Probably too choked with weather teams and I think perma-weather was banned from UU and OU is too full of other weathers to be a consistent strategy.

Rest,
Sleep Talk,
Sheer Cold,
and Body Slam

Leftovers, Ice Body. had some others on my team with Hail. one used that item that increased duration of Hail. was legit
