>>19658926Sceptile looked upon the wrapped gift in awe. Satoru Iwata had been to give Sceptile this spectacular box, and he stepped back to let Sceptile admire the craftsmanship. Upon the top lay a massive bow, spotted and vibrant and tied to perfection. The sides are wrapped in a foil paper decorated with a floral design, boasting flowers with an assortment of colors. He wasn't sure where to focus. The electric blue? The forest green? Maybe the neon yellow...
It was surprisingly breathtaking. But the feature that stood out most was the printed card resting on the bow as delicately as you would lay a caring hand on your lover. In a stunning mix of sapphire blue and ruby red, the card read:
"FOR SCEPTILE - GIFTS FROM OMEGA RUBY AND ALPHA SAPPHIRE".
Sceptile eagerly lifted a leafy claw and cut open the ribbon tying the box. He then gingerly lifted the top of the pox, anxious to peer inside and gaze upon the present given to him by his dear friend at Nintendo.
Unable to wait longer he flung the top of the box across the room and jolted his head over the box, getting an immediate view of the contents inside. The contents inside... Which were... Nothing.
He sat for a minute, pondering what was going on. He looked at Satoru Iwata, who stood there with a smile. "Please understand", he said. "Please understand".
But Sceptile did not understand. Tears filled his eyes. He wanted to run out, but he didn't want to make a scene, so he just sat the box down and lowered his head, tears streaming to the floor. All of his other starter friends were getting really good buffs, why wasn't he? It wasn't fair!
It really just wasn't fair...
He sniveled for a bit longer, Iwata patiently waiting out the emotions. Sceptile finally got a hold of himself, but then he noticed something... the bottom of the box was loose. He took it off and noticed that inside was a great ability, great stats and a cool new movepool suck it Sceptile haters.
