Ah, good ol' Altering Cave. The Pokéthing that frustrates me the most in FRLG. It would've been better if you had some in-game event that would change the Pokémon inside instead of some Japan-only Mystery Gift event.
It was clearly unneeded in Emerald, with all the Johto Pokémon inside already being catchable in the Safari Zone.

I fucking hated Altering Cave when I was a kid because I was too stupid to know how to Google anything, and whenever I looked it up in the strategy guides it would just give some stupid-ass vague answer on purpose. I thought it was some launch-the-rocket-99-times bullshit to get some super rare Pokemon.
