For the last six months, I've been working on a project. My wife adores Meowstic, she's got a soft spot for all the cat Pokémon, so I decided to breed her a shiny female one. I scrounged around on the gts and found a 4 IV Jap Espurr, hidden ability and all. No problem, fantastic start.
So I bred. And bred. And bred some more. Months passed. Boxes filled. I couldn't give up though, it was a present after all. Still, no shiny hatched for me. I dumped the Espurr in Pokémon Bank in the meantime, it made it easier to count how many eggs I had hatched. I began to worry that I would run out of storage when I filled up Box 70. But finally, yesterday, after half a year of shit luck and 2,100 Espurr later, I hatched a pale pink shiny Espurr!
It was male. No hidden ability. Shit IVs. Back to work...
