But then, a lot of the gender ratios don't make much sense
Much like how Lanturn is 50/50 despite male anglerfish not looking like that at all. Or Braviary and Mandibuzz being mono-gender for some strange reason.
You can make the argument that Braves are never female, but that doesn't explain Mandibuzz. I mean the counterpart argument fails when you consider the Liligant and Whimsicott lines.
