That is true, but a lot of the blame goes to him, too. Right after we let her down, he made it seem like she would have to put a brave face on for everyone else except for Calem. In her very next appearance, it was like that never happened and any depth she may have had was lost. Nate didn't even bother trying to change her after she said she would for Calem. Then the Christmas special featuring her was a wreck. Killing off her Pokemon and having her get over it a minute later? Okay. And the Valentine's Day special was really fucked up. He gave readers the choice to give her fucking tuberculosis. It's their fault for choosing it, but he gave them the option to, and he knows his audience.

But sure, we can talk about lore now that the negativity about Nate is out of the way.

Really, any hate for Shauna started out as a joke among anons that got way out of hand, possibly stemming from the fact that Shauna as a whole in the game feels like a forced "entry waifu" character. I guess Nate just played along until he found himself getting out of hand with it too. Now she's pretty much dead unless Nate has any revival plans in mind or if Pumpkaboo really is Shauna. (That I doubt though.)

I like how he's trying to give Tierno and Trevor more spotlight and development to make up for it though. Even though they're still kind of joke, hammy characters.

As for lore, I'm pretty sure Nate hasn't forgotten about Nate (the character) and Flygon like everyone thinks he has. But damn if they aren't taking their sweet time. Also, I have a feeling Lysandre will be usurped by another big bad.

I really think he's just building it up for one big painful impact. It was done so often in BW2 that I think the impact of each heartbreak lessened over time.

Kind of like as one big orgasmic climax, I can feel it, maybe after the big Geosenge situation. He definitely hasn't forgotten how to make us suffer.

As much as I want to blame Nate for it, it's really the audience's fault. They always go for the Serena option because they're afraid of "not getting best grill end", but they always talk about how they want Calem to be alpha. If a girl actively wants the pipe, you humor her, if even by a little and stop worrying about a little crush you have. Seriously, Serena was acting like a complete bitch up until the Christmas special, but the audience didn't dare try any other girl.

If I remember right, Wobbunoir is supposedly the result of a future thousand year war (or something like that?) between humans and rebelling Pokemon with intelligence that ends with Pokemon being victorious. Humans are extinct, and Pokemon rebuild society in a PMD kinda way.

Wobbunoir takes place like, a thousand more years after that war.

So basically this means no matter what, Calem will never have a happy ending and will probably be the first person to get fucked over in that war.

Also, I know this point is dead by now but I agree that Shauna got messed up big time. I was hoping for some kind of depressing but cathartic character development and instead I just ended up getting pissed off when a bunch of other anons took a joke too far.

Is this what getting NTR'd feels like?

PS: If any of us ever become famous or influential we have to drop a hint that we were a part of this nonsense
