For what? Glaceon gets shrek'd hard by Flare Blitz anyway and Sylveon gets hit almost as hard as it would with Iron Tail except Flare Blitz is also 100% accurate.

Glaceon should be able to handle Leafeon. The only super effective moves Leafeon gets are rock smash, which would be weaker than a grass move, and Iron Tail, which it can't learn under these rules. Their stats are mostly in Glaceon's favor, too. Leafeon's high attack is countered by Glaceon's high defense, and it's low special defense leaves a hole for Glaceon's high special attack. The only advantage Leafeon has is speed.

It's a chain of two, with Sylveon being the reserve. I'd imagine that you'd flank Vaporeon with Leafeon and Flareon to counter enemy Leafeon/Jolteon, then pass to Sylveon once you think you can get away with it at +2 defense.

I was worried that it'd be another flareon - something I liked the design of, but was basically unusable.

It's not always bad to put 4 offensive moves on a pokemon, leaving a move out and replacing it with toxic means it has less coverage which can make the poke switch out more creating more free turns for your opponent. It's all situational.

Actually since this event is Rotation Battle, wouldn't Choice Band Flareon be better anyways? Same damage as Guts but you wouldn't to worry about being toxic stalled and you could have Espeon for Trick Room and Vaporeon to Wish off the Flare Blitz recoil.

So Guts Flareon is going to have to take a hit, then eat recoil and toxic damage. It's going to be lucky to last two turns.

I swapped to a Choice Scarf personally. With the sun it can still oneshot most eevees.
