Is there an easy way to tell the difference between the Pumpkaboo/Gourgeist sizes?

It seems like the cry is slightly different and obviously the sizes are different, but Im really having a hard time figuring out if I've got the Small or Average sized ones.

I'm trying to get one of each size in both Pump/Gour and I didn't realize it'd be this big of a pain in the ass.
