I'd say they definitely made up their own names. Someone involved had the very minimum knowledge of Pokémon possible, though, since Sableye appears.

Yes, it's from the HGSS series. LEGEND cards require you to have 2 cards (both halves on different cards) to play, so nobody used them because they take up too much space, had too high of an energy cost, and couldn't be played as your active during setup.
