All you guys out there who picked Venusaur in FireRed/LeafGreen, what moves did you have on it? I'm currently replaying LeafGreen and the severe lack of Grass-type moves really bothers me. I already know that I'm going to have Body Slam and Earthquake on this guy as coverage moves, but the STAB is the problem. I basically have to options and they're both more or less shitty:

>#1: Sunny Day & Solar Beam
This is shit because it's ridiculous that a Pokemon has to set up for one turn just to use STAB. In longer battles it could work tho, but most of the time it wouldn't be very practical.

>#2: Giga Drain & Frenzy Plant
Giga Drain would be useful against weaker enemies while Frenzy Plant would destroy stronger ones at the cost of one turn, which just means that I'll switch Venusaur away so no harm is done. Venusaur just couldn't sweep as well. Giga Drain's PP is also quite disappointing.

Solar Beam without Sunny Day is out of the question and so is Razor Leaf because of the shitty base power and annoying 95% accuracy, which means that it will miss at the most unfortunate moment.
