Give it Power Gem, Hyper Voice and and Earth Power, for starters. It COULD try to use a Weakness Policy set this way, but would still be weird. Hell, give it Extreme-Speed too, whatever.

I really like Aurorus... but it's impossible to make this thing good.

Primal Aurorus if it happens would probably add the things it needs, probably by switching rock with electricity. Along with that give it some extra Sp. Attack moves like Tri Attack. If the current Aurorus had tri attack as a normal move it would be broken as shit because of high sp. attack along with a 20% chance of burn, paralysis, or freezing as an ice-type attack.

It's got the same problem as Flareon but in reverse, it's a special attacker with not many special attack normal moves to help it and Snow Warning isn't out yet for Blizzard purposes. Competitively you should just try running a Life Orb Freeze Dry, Ancientpower, Hidden Power Fire, Hyper Beam but other than that it's not good which kinda fucking sucks because Aurorus's design/cry is good and only 13 year olds choose the other one. Aurorus might be better for doubles though.

people like post tierno's god awful moveset and then forget how theres dozens of other trainers in the game, and xy probably has the most threatening normal trainers in the series, assuming you werent using exp share. just about every fucking thing you send aurorus out against will have something that will hit it se.

Change its typing completely.

It's speed is already terrible, so lower it further for trick room, and move those stats into other areas. Use it for doubles trick rooms teams only and hope your opponent ignores it. Freeze-dry is a great move that not many pokemon know, and could really surprise opponent's rotom washes.

If you're going defensive, don't be Ice (or Rock without Sand).
If you're going offensive, don't be slow and bulky or Grass or Bug hue.
If you're going to be slow and bulky, have good recovery or defensive utility and good ability.

If you have to use it: take advantage of its good SpAttack. It's offensive STAB and coverage set it apart from other bulky mons who aren't cursed with Ice/Rock defensively.

I wanna say give it more speed, but that just wouldn't make much sense. Amargasaurus weren't really known for being fast.

Which sucks because that leaves bulkiness as it only option, which is killed by being the worst defensive typing possible in the game.
