You build your Pokemon gradually, and the different parts you give it determines its Typing. You go from first stage to second (possibly third) stage, then eventually you're caught and you work your way up to becoming Champion of the E4, except from a Pokemon's perspective.

I've seen some of those being sold as PS2 classics but heard that these games are fucking brutal. How hard are them compared to P4 on Hard? That's as far as I managed to do

I admit, Nocturne is pretty hard, but literally all you need to do is git gud. It's really hard at the start of the game (because you don't really have any demons), but at the end, you'll have like a demon who can buff up all your stats and almost make the game easier. My tip is: ALWAYS HAVE STATS BUFFS ON YOUR DEMONS.

Otherwise, 11/10 would rage again.

SMT games are generally hard and unforgiving but rewarding when you win. If you know you're fusing then you'll be fine with the occasionally bullshittery. And always go with a Magic-Based character and demons.
