It's the Japanese word for self-destruction, but it's also the word used for suicide bombing... so I assume Bulbapedo claimed it was called "suicide bomber" in Japanese at some point because their "translators" just look words up in dictionaries and pick a definition at random, not knowing a thing about context.
And this is why you shouldn't use them to look up shit like this.
