Is it possible to play competitive without having played genVI?
After some time I'm interested in going back to competitive, but couldn't play XY and I'm wondering if I'll do well

I mean, they added few pokemon but still I'll have to look at the meta-changes in moves and so since since I didn't play the typical "in-game run of introduction", so to speak
