I don't use the 2 mons a lot but I think they shoudnt be banned. Deo-S doesn't have enough power to sweep and the best thing Deo-D can do is support.

Which is exactly why it's being suspected; Pokemon can be broken for support reasons as well as offense or defense. Granted, Deoxys-D and Deoxys-S are pretty much the only Pokemon that ever get banned for being too good at support, but the same thing happens every gen.

Deo-S was suspected alongside M-Lucario and Genesect, and he was allowed to stay while Mega Luke and Genesect were banned.

changing meta, mainly. just because nothing really major was banned since then doesn't mean that people just didn't think it was broken at the time due to it being compared to genesect and megaluke. it could also have found new uses [now used as a powerful revenge killer as opposed to mainly a spike stacker], found an amazing use on a team archetype that wasn't discovered before [read: deosharp], and so on.

dunno if it'll get banned, but there're reasons for re-testing, to be sure.

Usually Deoxys is banned right at the start of a gen or very close to it. If it gets banned to Ubers, well, it'll just be going home.

Deoxys-D I can see because of its support potential but other than a single layer of spikes or steath rocks Ive never had great problems with deoxys-S it just doesnt have the damage capabilities to be a danger nor can it really survive two hits
