>>19716768Look at it this way. There's a pool of 3 stats that are taken from parents during breeding. No stat can drop more than once, any parent can be chosen, and any stat. Destiny knot pushes that up to 5 stats, so if you have identical parents, then the offspring will have 4-6 perfect IVs(picking the bad stat to drop, all the way to picking the right stat, and even sometimes rolling a 31 on the random last stat). There is no way to control which stat drops other than a power item, but this does not let you drop a specific stat AND 5 other stats, the power item just drops the specific stat into the pool of 5 from Destiny knot. In short, whenever breeding, one parent should have the knot on them, and you will eventually get better pokemon with better stats. Then you swap out one or both parents to get even better chances of pentaperfect mons.
