nobody discuss the possibility of new evolutions anymore, everything is mega-this mega-here...
the concept basically do two things
first, it kills the chance of a pokemon of having an evolution, and it really hurts when the design is cool (megaMawile for example)
second, buffs pokemons already OP or that are already part of a 3-line chain
and don't tell me that Megas aren't OP when their total base stats are so high in the scale
GF did this shit trying to implement something "new" and "cool" to attract new players as Nintendo was in a bad situation those days (don't know if they're better now), and half of that megashit is just plain pandering, which is never good in big amounts
