Kalos felt a little rushed, and offered no real postgame.

How would you feel if Gen 7 was like Gen 2?
>completely new region connected to Kalos
>travel to Kalos after E4
>cross gen evolutions for Kalos pokemon
>new region has mix of Kalos pokemon and Gen 7 pokemon, Gen 7 dex is almost an extension of Gen 6 dex.

Fat chance. Odd generations are the pioneer generations, while even gens are the expansions. Gen 7 will be like Kanto/Hoenn/Unova, with little to no connections to the previous gens.

Gen 2's "postgame" was awful, and Kanto isn't postgame.

I'd drop the series. Gen 2's region set-up was awful and it would only be worse if Gen 7's region was a little tumor hanging off the side of a lame region like Kalos.

would it have helped if they added an actual fairy forest in this region/gen that featured a forest? We had so many generic 'woods' areas. That cave with glowing moss was actually an effort into creating something new.

Additionally, the experience may have been botched by too many old pokemon, and too few new pokemon.

I'm serious. Gen 2's bullshit could at least be justified by everyone having a boner for Kanto, but screwing up Gen 7's new region just to include the fucking shitshow known as Kalos would be a major disappointment

We have hints of the war between Kalos and a neighboring region. We may see that region soon, which could also be what the famed Hiker was referring too. I assume a region based off Germany, since Kalos is France, and we have WWII references. Then there is the currently unused train station in Couriway, which the tracks lead into a tunnel which is on the furthest part in the east of Kalos, which Germany is east of France. I think we'll see something of this in the near future

I liked XY but Kalos as a region is pretty boring.

The only part that I really liked was the routes that had the autumn look to them. None of the towns were really memorable at all and Lumiose was just too much.

I know it's not feasible but that's what I want for Z or X2Y2 or whatever we're calling it. They never do much with the 3rd game, Yellow technically isn't the third game although it was quite cool, Crystal was marginally better, Emerald even less, Platinum was an upgrade but to be honest apart from Altaria and other random shit, everything they added should have been in the Sinnoh dex from day one. B2W2 were so rushed in my opinion. Gen 7 better be the bee's knees or I'll lose interest. That's not like....a threat, I just will.

I don't think there were multiple Kyogre/Groudon. I think the story was they migrated to Johto after their battle in Sootopolis, or something like that.

Speaking of that, I don't think legends like those(box art legends) have multiple of their kind. Legends like the Regis and Kanto birds are rare, but not one of a kind.

Did you play B2W2 at all? That was essentially Unova's Johto game, and it was great. Perfect level curve, loads of available pokes and a perfectly sized region with all the expansions they made.

The wars they talked about seemed much more renaissance/enlightenment. Not saying it won't be Germany, but it might also be Spain, England or maybe even Austria and it'd be more like the Franco-Prussian war if you want something recent since World War would imply the world was involved.
