I've been running a special based set for shoe, it works surprisingly well

Shoe @ Choice Specs
Modest, 252 sp atk, 252 speed, 4 hp
- Air Kick
- Lace Tie
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
Actually has decent coverage now that leather is finally neutral against plastic-types. I mean, 3 generatios of a non-sense resistance, seriously.
What are you guys thinking about the new Hair type? Do you think the metagame actually needed another type?

mate Shoe already has assloads of hp, go for def or specdef

gotta give him Eviolite, give him choice if you evolve him into Steel Boot or Hiking Boot (assuming you can get the happiness before his first fight for Hiking Boot)

though Running Shoe can be viable too

I'm not going for defensive here, Shoe already has great hp but that +1 there gives it an odd number meaning it can never die from Bowling Ball's Seismic Toss. I mean, when you look at it, it was clearly designed to be a leather cannon, I'm sorry, a glass cannon.
Choice Specs gives it that nice little extra power it needs

I don't care if its typing already kind of sucked and they nerfed it even further in gen 6, but Radiator's been my bro since gen 2. It can still get some decent damage done with a surprise Overheat from a Scarf set or Scalding a physical attacker on the switch.
