How to deal with EvasionPass spam in ubers

I just faced one of those BP+Double Team spam teams in ubers and horribly lost even though I did my best:

You played well actually, it's Haxxxxx who sucked and should have lost if it wasn't for the hax.
Evasion needs to be banned immediatly from ubers and I'm surprised Smogon unbanned it to begin with.
As for the full BP team, it might be broken in OU but plenty of things in ubers deal with them well so it shouldn't be a problem.

You could've utilized Kyogre's roar a lot better.
You also could've used Water Spout for massive damage, but that's only assuming you had Water Spout.

I just don't understand why Smogon would ban Swagger from ubers but allow evasion which is like 10x worse.

Haxxx made some questionable plays and definitely won because of the hax, but he played Scolipede well and made some good predictions after being phazed the first time.
In fact most BP teams ragequit the instant the chain is broken, so props to him for managing to win despite that.

also, you shouldn'tve wasted your gyro balls near the beginning and should've switched to something like arceus after scolipede's health was whittled down

I don't understand what the uber tier is supposed to meant. Is it a banlist first and a tier second or the other way around?
If the point of ubers is "playing the game without restrictions as long as movesets are 100% legal" then why does it have clauses at all?
It just seems contradictory to unban evasion but banning Swagger.

Gyro Ball spam was the right thing to do against something with Double Team and Speed Boost. Trying to lay down hazards would have been risky with Espeon on the opposing team.

There are 2 school of thoughts concerning ubers: one says it should basically be exactly like the cartridge games with no clauses at all and the other says it should be "like OU, except you can use ubers" meaning it has to implement species, sleep, OHKO, evasion, Swagger and BP restriction clauses.

Apparently the two schools are clashing on Smogon lately, which is why right now we have this weird "evasion is allowed but Swagger" is not situation.

This isn't OU.
Taunt/Shadow Ball/Sludge Wave/Focus Blast is the only set worth running in ubers.
There are better ways to stop a sweep that don't involve sacrificing your mega evolution.

Only source I can find atm, but the perish trapping set it is still the 5th most used set in Ubers, on PokemonOnline at least. If you treat all sets with Perish song, sub and protect as the same set, it jumps to number 3.

It's not about stopping a sweep, (that's what the D-Bond ones are for) it's about being a guaranteed KO of your choice on anything stopping your own sweep. It's the most broken support mon, remember?
