The fact its being pushed repeatedly by GF doesnt help, I'll admit, nor the fact they try too hard to make it a Deviantart OC level of character, completely inconsistent to every other pokemon. It's probably just some latent autism but its frustrating to know that in a game series about sculpting your team from any number of characters, you might as well pick THIS one because it'll be treated the best. And heres several cutscenes, characters, landmarks, films and merch of it just in case you're having any doubts.
I don't care about its fanbase, I've found Charizard's to be far, far worse. Fanbases don't turn me off any character because they're just A group, not THE group.
