Heatran is getting worse and worse in this meta though. With Sneaky Spikes, it would make it worse than it needs to be when it's already struggling.

On topic, it'd obviously give a lot of steel types issues, making Balloon basically manditory on a lot of steels and really ruin Sand Teams, and basically force every single team to run Skarmory for the Defog and Spikes support.

What if there was a Grass-type equivalent to Stealth Rocks that fucked the shit out of Rock and Ground types so that people who used Stealth Rocks to screw over Fire, Flying and Bug types would get their rightful payback?

If you look at the list of Stealth Rock users, I'd say at least 2/3rds of have either Rock or Ground as one of their types. There are a few steel types with a non-rock or ground subtypes and a few true weirdos like Infernape or Clefable. And it wouldn't be a solution for the biggest problem Pebble Sneaker, Deoxys D.

It would however also take a big grassy fist to Water's eternal dominance as compensation. Shitting on every overused bullshit Water type from Greninja to Kyogre AND the majority of Stealth Rockers seems like a pretty welcome idea.

and tspikes can have gen1 levels of toxic for 4x weak

Serperior would suddenly be VERY popular. It's super fast and has decent tank stats. You've already got Glare, Leech Seed, Gastro Acid, Mirror Coat, Grassy Terrain, Taunt, Protect and the full set of Light Screen/Reflect/Safeguard. Add in a Grass-type Stealth Rock and you've got an annoying as shit opener who can spend a lot of turns crippling the other team before it dies. Plus you've still got Contrary Leaf Storm in the wings.

I've always felt that a pokemon using roost should be affected by whatever is laying on the ground at the time. Every time that pokemon lands on the ground it should be damaged at least by spikes, probably not pebbles because that would fuck them over way too much.

I just feel that if entry hazards were buffed in the next gen that rapid spin should be distributed to more pokemon; but for pokemon that arent usually that good, giving jobs thus stimulating the economy.

They did buff Defog so that it kills Hazards on both sides, so there's that.

There should also probably be some kind of ability or type that absorbs Stealth Rocks the way Poison Types absorb Toxic Spikes.
