I work in a college's students with disabilities department.
THe department head realized a lot of freshmen who are eligible for assistance, including a lot with aspergers and mild autism arent stepping forward for help.
He wants to have some kind of public event on campus next september to attract those students in a non threatening way to lure them in so we can hand out fliers and info.
I shit you not, one of the plans he proposed is to disguise the event as a Pokémon meetup.
This is something he came up with totally out of the blue, i didn't even think he realized Pokémon existed let alone to it as a way to entice aspies into learning more about on-campus services for them.
