I tried to find a shiny ponyta. I went to the friend safari for hours on end. Not finding a single shiny. Then I tried tipping.
I found 2 shiny braixen, 1 shiny ponyta and 1 shiny snorunt within half an hour. Tipping 1k pokedollars each time.
There's no way that this isn't a legit way of finding shinies.
