Anyone else like this? I've tried breeding and pokeradar chaining so many times yet I still haven't seen a single shiny before. Why does it seem like there is an over abundance of the fuckers?

Shiny Gyarados, dragonite line, garchomp line and haxorus don't count as they are guaranteed, unless you caught them in the normal way

If it makes you feel any better, I recently encountered my first shiny and I killed it.

I wasn't paying attention to the screen, walking back and forth through the room. When I came back, I instantly hit Dragon Pulse. When I saw it dying, I noticed it was a shiny Skrelp. FML.

I know what you mean, i know gen II was first shinies.

Also, when I first played silver I KO'd shiny Gyarados as I didn't think it was special, as the only Gyarados I had seen before that was Lance's in G1, which wasn't coloured. Forgot it existed until HGSS.

I was like you once. Then on my second breeding project, out hatched a shiny of one of my long-time bros. Went on to become my megabro.

Since then I've found one wild, two on GTS for peanuts, accidentally bred two more and instachecked a handful. The accidental breeds and wild finds are the best, keep on hoping OP.

My first shiny was Exeggcute, back in Gen II.

I can't recall if I caught another one since then, up until Gen IV when I caught a shiny Roselia, who I gave away to a friend who wanted it.

Then again in Gen VI I caught a shiny Metang in the Safari. I still have it, I may use it on my team. I think it's got good IVs for it, and a neuetral nature that won't hinder its progress (though it also doesn't boost anything).

Played since G1 and I got a Relicath as my first shiny in Y. Also was funny since I had just bought a goldfish that sort of looked like one and named it Relicath, the same day I got a shiny one chain fishing within the first 15-30mins of ever trying.
I hatched a shiny 5IV Froakie timid with protean as my second. Then a 6IV one the next day. But I always treasure my own more then traded ones I get from someone else or cloned ones people have given me because they feel more personal to me I guess. Going to try for a Loveball adamant Mudkip next.
