It's why Norman is such an easy Gym Leader to beat. You just fend it off when you can, Protect or high HP/defenses, and then blast the shit out of it when it can't move.

He's great low on the competitive ladder. Slaking with a choice band will OHKO nearly anything.

The problem is that while you may be able to give a retard a free turn to do nothing, you can't let a skilled player constantly have free turns to set up.

Once you git gud you can't afford the cost of using him anymore.

Because it must go further.

Being outdamaged by Mega Kangaskhan is unacceptable.

This Mega with Stall would fix a lot of issues with Slaking while still allowing it to be Slaking.

I really want them to just give Slaking Feint. I think that would make it useable (or at least give it some function in doubles, which it currently lacks) without making it overpowered.

a better way is to use skill swap, the best user is Gardevoir with the mega stone. skill swap on slaking on the first turn, in the next turn use the mega ring, that means both of your pokemon will not had truant and you can use what ever tactic you want. I did this before in Show Down and I ended up getting the opponents to disconnect.

I would argue that this is just fine. Because Slaking's attack stat is already extremely high, you can invest more into its defenses. Stall allows you to ignore or even significantly drop points in speed.
