New thread because of reasons. What we're doing is making a mono-type Pokémon for each element, and trying to break convention by offering something unique for each one. These are the Pokémon we've come up with, and the stats for each one:

A few notes:

- Zenguarde doesn't learn Zen Headbutt.

- Could Altitron get Mach Punch? Thematically it fits, and I don't think it'll be overpowered.

- I've only got a rough sketch of Gerrosear which I'm unhappy with. I want the thing to be a kaiju plated lizard, because I don't think there is a kaiju that's Fire-type yet.

- My version of Aurumnir will probably resemble a traditional, quadrupedal European dragon. Boring, I know, but when you think about it, the only one of those we really have is Salamence.

- The other dude who is drawing these with me gets mad fucking props. His designs are flawless.

Hey, OP of the original thread here, thanks for making this.

My server can't be registered until it's been active for 36 continuous hours. That's going to take a while. But once it's up, playtesting will begin immediately. There's not much to do until then though, but expect a "Come Playtest Balanced Meta" thread sometime tomorrow.

Not talking about balancing the metagame, we're talking about creating a balanced metagame. We're trying to see if we can create a metagame with just 18 Pokemon, while keeping all of them viable and of relatively equal usage. If that goes well, we'll try adding more, and continue to attempt to maintain a balanced metagame.
