Okay, so obvious problems with this team, in no particular order:
-Sand doesn't benefit this team much
-It hurts some members; LO SubRoost Kyu does not work when sand is up
-Slowbro gives me trouble
-Mega Aerodactyl gives me trouble
-Those two are fucking everywhere
-Three fighting weaknesses and no resistances
-Three rock weaknesses (but two resists)
-Empoleon doesn't get reliable recovery (and is therefore crippled by burns) and it's part of the defensive core

So. Should I scrap this team completely, should I rework it to not be sand (I feel like Hippo limits my options), and can it or any part of it be salvaged?

Looks solid. There are some minor changes you should make, like making Garchomp's HP uneven and giving Avest Azu Knock Off (since it's the reason that it's useful in that it checks Aegislash).

I'd try Counter over Brave Bird on Skarmory, I think it's better overall, personally.
I'd consider moving hazards to Heatran and giving it Defog as wells, since you currently have no means of hazard removing.

Hey guys, looking for some help here. I'm normally pretty consistently around 1500 on showdown, but lately, I just can't seem to win anymore. My rating has pretty much dropped down into the 1200s and it's been there for the better part of a week now, because I can't seem to win more than one game in a row. And even if I do win a couple in a row, I'll go and lose another 3 or 4. I've tried about 6 or 7 different teams in that span (stall, hyper offense, baton pass, gimmicky, balance), but no matter what I try, I just can't seem to get anything going the right way.

So that's where you guys hopefully would be able to help. I want to build a team that might be able to get some momentum going for me. I really don't have a starting point to build the team with other than that I really like to use Landorus-I with a Life Orb, but other than that there isn't much. I'm not asking you guys to completely build a new team, but maybe point me in the right direction so I can find out how to suck less and start actually winning.

Pic related, my most recent failure. Manaphy seems to be the only one doing anything good in the team, especially if I can get up the screens and rocks with Deoxys-S

You can't rely on taunt as your only way to stop rocks getting up. This isn't gen 4. Pinsir needs reliable hazard removal or else you're only going to have one or two chances to set up a sweep at most. Manaphy's rain dance is a detriment to all of its teammates and it really isn't bulky enough to waste two turns setting up. There's a host of other problems but I can't be bothered spoonfeeding you

I don't like the idea of having a mon with no reliable attacks, I know I can switch but Brave Bird means Skarm can dent M-Pinsir and other things. The only hazard I'm terrified of is Sticky Web so I'll think of putting Defog on Skarm. That 4MSS tho.

Deo-D is just an annoyingly bulky hazard setter that can be played around.

However, Deo-S can play too many roles way too well for it not to be banned. It's versatility and unpredictability is unmatched by almost any other OU Pokemon, combined with it's seemingly unlimited speed, and you've got a Pokemon that deserves to be banned to Ubers,

Why'd you use Dual Screens on that?
It only really helps Pinsir, since Chomp is scarf, Lando and Manaphy are bulky already, and Gengar isn't a set up sweeper.
If you're going to use Dbond Gengar, please use Life Orb.

I dunno, that team is pretty awful because you don't really know what you're trying to do. It can be simply fixed by changing the sets without even having to change the pokemon, but I can't fit all the things I'd want to explain on a post.

Just think about something: when you make a team, you either make it around pokes or an strategy. If your strategy is dual screens, then you use pokemon that can abuse dual screens. Are the pokes on your team really able to abuse them?
Not really. So you should switch your strat or your team in order for it to work.

Word of advice from someone who used Manaphy for quite a while: either use standard TG or RestCM, RestGlow is kind of a poor compromise.

With TG, you can stomp a lot of different threats. You need to choose carefully between Psychic and Energy Ball (Psychic is generally better because it trashes a lot of would-be counters/checks like Amoongus/Megavenu/Conkeldurr while Energy Ball only tends to hit Rotom-W, who might just be scarfed anyway), and whether you're going to go for lefties/LO/Wacan Berry, but it's guaranteed to bring someone not named Chansey down.

RestCM is an underrated set that is /not/ outclassed by CroCune in the least because having both weather control and being able to time your recovery better matters quite a lot. You actually set up right in front of MegaVenu if you're using the right EV spread and you beat it in strict 1-vs-1 scenarios 90% of time, you only lose to Sleep Powder ones (rare) and Power Whip ones (lel).

RestGlow accomplishes none of the things that either set do. There are some other sets that you could run (like the utility one for surprise factor, or the odd TG/Rain/Psychic/Surf whose sole purpose is to completely shit on stall), but I honestly think that RestGlow is suboptimal.

I played lots of OU/UU/LC in 4th gen and some OU/UU in 5th gen. I like hyper offence/offence. Which meta would you guys recommend? I was thinking of just going with OU, but from my experience that's usually the worst meta.

You can be a shitty player but that team is just so easy to use that you'll make it in the high ladder anyways. There was probably an RMT on smogon that people copypasted from. It gets kind of stopped by sand offense tho.

You might want to switch Empoleon to Eviolite Gligar. It gives you a Fighting resist and a full spot to nearly all of the physical attackers in the tier. Maybe scrap Kyurem for Shaymin?

UU, no contest. It's currently my favorite meta and it's constantly in flux with the weekly suspect reincorporation. It's also a lot like Gen 4 OU but without all of the really broken stuff.

How to use it: Lead with it almost always. Identity whether you want rocks or web up more. If your opponent brings a pokemon likely to set up on you, just encore.

Everything you do is wrong in that replay. You don't know anything about movesets and abilities.
The only thing that can help you is playing the game and trying out everything. You will learn it eventually. Also check the type effectiveness chart when you are not sure

I'd agree with using Dark pulse on Hydreigon, over Dragon pulse, because it allows you to hit Mew and Slowbro and Cresselia and similar things. The former two are very common and really good in UU, and especially Slowbro completely shuts down your scarfer and your Agilitygross which I assume is your wincon. Mew also defogs your hazards away after your suicide lead is kill, right now it can defog on Metagross, Hydreigon, Ampharos and Nape, although unless it runs Psychic STAB Nape is still gonna force it out. Bulky waters in general seem troublesome to you, Mega Ampharos can switch in a bunch of times but without Resttalk, Scald burns will put it on a timer, and it only has so much bulk. Also the only thing on your team that can reliably deal with fairies (i.e. Florges and Aromatisse) is Metagross, and you probably only want to use it late game because it'd get worn down very quickly.

Speed EVs are to hit 55 Spe at level 30, which outspeeds all neutral speed base 65s by 2 points
Vaporeon's def EVs let it live an unboosted leaf blade from adamant leafeon
Sylveon is female because 7/8 eevees are male, which means more odds to cute charm stuff

Really not sure about umbreon. I've been looking at a couple replays, and calm mind + psyshock + gleam espeon actually looks pretty damn threatening, especially since psyshock hits the eevees' weaker physical defense. Saw a sylveon with a similar set as well that looked pretty effective. Only problem is everything can learn shadow ball.

I feel like I might be trying to be too anti-meta. Sun teams are going to be a big deal, but for example, I have:
- rain to counter sun teams
- flash fire flareon to counter flare blitz spam
- haze vaporeon to counter boostan spam
- taunt for the above reasons (was also considering refresh on umbreon since it can't learn heal bell and was afraid of toxic stalling)
- too much support and not enough offense

Can't really practice much with it either since no simulators support rotations and I want to iron out a team before breeding everything.

Terrakion is mainly there as a revenge killer that can also deal with Bisharp if it ever gets to +2. If it Sucker Punches, it's a free Justified boost. Should I run X-Scissor over Quick Attack?

Do you guys change your screen name on Showdown when you test changes to your teams? Or do you use different names for different teams altogether? I like to experiment a lot, but I never change my name, so I sometimes fall below 1500, but when I find a team I am comfortable with, I usually stay at least above 1600 and consistently make it to 1750+.

It's not a thing about the stats.
Why would you want Rotom to hit hard?
As a special attacker, it's widely outclassed. However, it's unique as a bulky pivot, so you should use it to fill a role it does the best.

Enter your Gliscor into a damage calculator and pit it against a bunch of threats, ensuring that it has the EVs to bulk, defeat, and outspeed when necessary.

Brave Bird vs Drill Peck: I assume Brave Bird is best here because with the low defenses Hkrow is pretty YOLO already, but since it's one of the few pokemon that can actually drill peck I was considering it

Sucker Punch vs Pursuit vs Foul Play vs Night Slash

Sucker punch seems good because (situational) priority helps make up for lackluster speed
Pursuit can be used to good effect if you switch in on something that you force out (choice item earthquaker off the top of my head)
Foul Play is big damage but not usable vs Special attackers so it's too situational
Night Slash is solid damage but other than crits (maybe with a Super Luck set?) it doesn't bring anything to the table

Superpower is usually recommended, but I don't know if you can egg move it to a kalos born murkrow

And then there's all the utility moves

Talonflame helps him check Mega Venusaur, Mega Scizor, Ferrothorn, Breloom, Keldeo, Conkeldurr and probably some other stuff. If he's going to drop it, it should be for Latios who also helps check some of these threats.

He needs a way to get past Rotom-W and Bulky Ground-types so maybe HP Grass Greninja might be of some use?

Regenerator Slowbro, Cofigirus

Possible Megas.
Ampharos (Cotton Guard worth using, or just a mi of special attacks?), Abomasnow, Blastoise (Rapid Spin. Neutral Sp. nature sadly)

Others:
Sudowoodo (Rock Head, Wood Hammer, Hammer Arm, Stone Edge. Possibly Fake Tears if its worth raising its Sp.Def? Or even Stealth Rock? Otherwise just Double Edge/Sucker Punch)
Lickylicky (Cloud Nine, Explosion, Hammer Arm. Others for coverage, maybe even Curse).
Pretty much any poke under 60 base speed, but those are my faves. Help on balance?

Anyone else hate Stall?

I'm not saying it's cheap or not legitimate but goddamn is it annoying to play against.

It's not immature or anything if I forfeit every Stall team preview I see, is it? My team is just not equipped to deal with stall but I'm in 1600s and I keep encountering it.

The only thing I can do against it is hope to god I get a Lava Plume burn with Heatran on their M-Venusaur but they'll just switch into their pink blob of choice to take it.

Stall is not all that bad IMO. Amoonguss is one tricky son of a bitch, but other than that I have some interesting times playing against it.

Semi-stall though, is for the tyrants. If the other guy knows what's he doing, you feel powerless and dumb for not picking the right choices.

Air Balloon on Aegislash so he spinblocks more effectively. Go mixed with Shadow Ball -- it just hits harder. Use a Quiet nature.

Why Low Kick on Bisharp? It doesn't really hit much else other than opposing Bisharp. Also LO > Leftovers. Maybe Dread Plate. Pursuit or Taunt is a better option.

Mawile should run some speed investment. I believe it's 60 EVs, don't quote me on that.

Heatran should have leftovers. I'd repalce SR with something else. Or just replace Heatran with something else.

Run Defog on Skarmory. Defog / Counter / Roost / Brave Bird.

Replace Empoleon with something like Magnezone. Or whatever else you want really. Or just run an offensive Empoleon set instead. Torrent is a better ability for him.

All in all, solid. I hope you're using this in Monotopye OU and not regular OU though.

How's this look for a UU team?
I'm mid-1500s on Showdown at the moment and my only consistent issues are bulky waters- namely Mega-Blastoise, who 2HKOs everyone on my team. It's easy enough to revenge, but if it's on the same team as Blissey/Hippowdon I'm basically fucked.
The main idea behind the team is a semi-stall core of Slowbro/Amoonguss/Forretress with Metagross taking on certain special attackers/Aerodactyl/Ampharos to wear down their team, and then to nuke through with Entei and Hydreigon, who rip holes through lots of shit. I'm thinking of going mixed with Hydreigon, but the sheer power of specs makes me reconsider.

It's just a very inferior option to many other items- offensive Crobat usually runs a Choice Band to make up for its mediocre attack stat.
Also, Hypnosis is terrible on it- consider Taunt over it, and U-Turn over Cross Poison, unless you just really hate Florges

I don't know about full VoltTurn teams but my core of Scarf Lando-T and Mega Manectric has gotten me to 1650. I could probably go higher, that's just where I stopped.

The rest of the team is standard Belly Drum Azu, standard Swords Dance Bisharp except Jolly (a lot of speed-creeping Aegislash lately), Defog LO Latios with Draco, Psyshock, Tbolt/Surf, and Sash Infernape with CC/Mach Punch/Flare Blitz/Stealth Cocks.

idk what to think of it really, but it hits the most common mons used in stall teams pretty hard, has a bit of trouble with Quag and Skarm though, but otherwise it really sounds like an effective stall breaker.
It gets 2 good STABs which let it hit Venu, Heatran and Chansey and can nearly OHK all three of them, if you go Zen Headbutt, you're guaranteed a OHK on Venusaur with 252 HP and up to 112 Def EVs
Drain Punch ruins Heatran and HJK ruins Chansey and puts a big dent into Quagsire, however, shit like Clefable can set up in front of MegaCham, but it switch in to it

I went with Adamant because who runs speed in a Stall team?

However, this set does get walled by Sableye, but it's the only counter to the set that I can think of right now

Trick Room is also pretty viable so you should have a way to deal with that. Also, Amoonguss is another decent Spore user.

Doubles is generally a lot more offensive than singles.
