What about coverage?

I mean, it would be a dragon after all, dragons always have amazing move pools despite game freak insisting they are overpowered. It's why they continue to be super prevalent despite fairies being immune to them and every playable dragon being 4 times weak to ice.

Right. Hydreigon took a huge hit being 4x weak to fae but dragon/fighting would be far more useful than dragon/dark, especially since it would almost certainly be a physical attacker.

Take that as you will but anything Dragon can't hit Fighting will to some degree. Throw in a Normal attack and you actually hit everyone in the game for at least neutral coverage until a Ghost/Fairy appears.

Ghost/Fairy or Ground/Fairy is the new Dragon/Fighting. Steel/Fairy is nice but it doesn't hit enough offensively for SE damage.

This comparison is moot if were talking about pre-gen 6. Dragon/Fighting STAB would be unresisted except Steel/Ghost and has no 4x weakness to worry about. Fairy changed all of that.
