Not op but i have a question like his, what starter should i pick in pokemon silver, just found my old cartridge + gameboy.

Also OP fire red is better because it's a little bit faster and there's a bunch of cool content after you beat the game. Red has a lot of nostalgia for me though and nothing beats the crazy looking sprites that game has.

OP you can also try one in a ROM and take the other
FireRed is in any way better but Red/Blue are the original nostalgic must have "just cause"

Remember also both can be played on an Iphone or android as roms

I have played all of those. Ruby and Sapphire are easy, but do not have almost any of annoyances of FR/LF, namely, annoying caves, a lot of long stretches with little variance (forests and caves mostly) etc.
