anyways, it might be worth noting that diamond storm is a spread move, and i think would get two chances of the 50% defense boost when used in doubles. granted between how slow diancie is and double's offense level i'm not sure how cool that really is, though you can use trick room to mitigate the speed problem.
as far as singles goes, diancie is kind of forced to go special oriented-as much as it hurts to do so given that diamond storm is pretty cool-since gamefreak apparently thought it would be a great idea to give 100 base attack to a pokemon whose physical movepool consists of rock moves, return, and gyro ball. i think something like moonblast/hp fire/rock move/stealth rock@leftovers modest/quiet max hp/satk could be ok. honestly i think i would use ancient power over diamond storm for the rock move (well ideally i would use POWER GEM) because diancie's fire resistance is good, but it needs the rock move to hurt them back and w-o-w is not uncommon on fire-types, plus diancie really can't afford to split evs. thankfully earth power is a likely tutor move for it in the future, in which case i might use that over stealth rock and use assault vest.
