Except Ice Beam is enough to nail entire teams unlike with Flareon.
Shame it didn't get Freeze Dry, but SignalBeam/ShadowBall/HPFighting-Electric-Grass/Yawn/Wish and buffed Synchronoise at 120BP are enough too.

"Flareon has no moves" is a joke because, before getting Flare Blitz, it did not have a physical fire STAB to compliment its large attack stat. Glaceon had Ice Beam and Blizzard.

All the eeveelutions have terrible coverage in general, but compared to other eeveelutions, Glaceon and Flareon are especially bad due to their stat spreads (Ice is also really bad.)

It was pretty popular in Gen IV doubles with Abomasnow spamming double Blizzards, and in Gen IV UU for the same reason.

Choice items are the best items to use on Glaceon in general. Ice already has excellent coverage, so you do you don't need much besides Ice Beam/Blizzard and Hidden Power for the occasional Steel type.

Plus the only Steel types that can switch on it twice or more times are all shitmons of Bastiodon, Probopass tier. Probably only Registeel can take a decent ammount of SpecsBeam in a match, some turun Rest with a cleric. Doublade can't take 2 hits I think and it would be still slower, plus Shadow Ball now hits Steel types with neutral damage. Techically even Aegislash, Ferrothorn, Forretress and Genesect would not be safe in OU, nor Lucario that already sucks in bulk. Perhaps AV Metagross, SpDefensive M-Aggron and some Jirachi, both scared of Shadow Ball. Useless to say Skarmory, Steelix and Durant have pissweak special bulk.
In short Glaceon is the best of thevleast useful and viable eeveelutions right now, Leafeon and Flareon are still pretty bad.
I'm very sorry for Leafeon that can't even Night Slash or Rock Tomb, Steel types without Rock or Ground subtype stop it without any worries, Dig is just a free switch unless like that fucker who has rused me with Power Herb SD Dig shotting my Magneton and almost winning the match with his vegan Eevee.

Both Flareon and Leafeon got a new gimmick to play with, they alredy had it since Gen4 but now it's buffed and it is Natural Gift that for one turn allows to do a 100BP physical damage of the type you prefer the most, I guess Ground, Rock, Fire or Ice in their case.

While STAB would make it incredibly powerful, I'd probably set it with something that would either cover something the rest of your team can't do, or counter a type disadvantage.

I now wish I bred mine with egg moves. Maybe I'll take my Flareon back to the drawing board.

It is unlikely to see Specs Glaceon in OU but I agree probably only Heatran, Empoleon and Mega Scizor / Sp.Def Scizor among the Steel types would be able to check it most of the time unless Glaceon isn't running HP Fire or HP Ground (more useful) since HP Fighting isn't mandatory anymore if not for Tyranitar.
Another not mentioned Steel type is M-Mawile but it is 2HKO by Ice Beam.

Still coming from 65 (65*1.5)BP, 80BP and a grass stab attack. Not exactly the best for an offensive SD set this Pokemon would ask for. But this is what Leafeon can afford right now.
