The only good Yugioh threads I've ever seen are on /vp/.
I made a /ygo/ general here a while back and it turned out pretty well, but haven't really bothered to remake one yet.

H.A.T (Hands, Artifacts, Traptrix) is the best Artifact deck right now. Artifacts don't have to be destroyed by your opponent, but on your opponent's turn which is much easier than it sounds. There are plenty of Ghsotrick variants (Spirits, Monarchs, Trick-or-Treat) but many people don't like playing against them.

Man YGO seems so different everytime i take a break, last game i played was tag duel 5 on the PSP

I remember that my favorite deck was an infernity one, but pretty sure these are not viable anymore

Infernity are currently Tier 2.
And don't bother with the Duel Carnival game. It is already far outdated and they went from 40 playable characters in the Japanese release to 12 in the US/EU release.
