It's right what he's saying; The insides of volcanoes are so hot that water isn't able to come near it without being turned into steam.

But that in itself is the reason why Mega Camerupt with Water Absorb doesn't work. If Camerupt's volcanoes work exactly like real ones, water simply wouldn't reach it. They don't, however, so Camerupt retains the 4x Water weakness.

Camels retaining water again doesn't work here, because the space is already occupied by magma.

Too many faggots thinks Water Absorb is ABSOLUTELY necessary for Mega-Camerupt to survive? 4x Weakness didn't stop Grachomp, Talonflame, Ferrothorn and a lot of other Pokemon.

It's not unusable because of it's 4x weakness, it's the stats and movepool
This whole "hurr durr water absorb pls" makes no fucking sense
Drought, maybe, if you want to weaken the water a bit, would make sense
You're the same people that seem to think sap sipper swampert would somehow be better than swift swim because you think type match up is literally the be all and end all of battling.

What if the Camerupt Mega evo drew inspiration from Hot springs, thus allowing water absorb to make a little bit more sense.

Heck, the counterpart Sharpedo mega could incorporate thermal vents so that there's an interesting yin-yang effect going on in the designs.

Probably because they have better stats (Garchomp and Ferrothorn), better abilities (Talonflame), or a combination of the 2 (Dragonite).

Camerupt has a pretty good ability in Solid Rock, but doesn't have a good stat spread thanks to it being slow with very negligible, if non-existant, bulk.
