Why are poison pokemon so much better designed per capita than all other types?

Poison has a lot of different real life influences to draw from. Venomous animals and poisonous plants are brightly colored and have unique appearances, plus you can use pollution and trash for more artificial designs as well.

On the other hand, Fire has the more boring designs because almost all Fire-types are orange animals with flames/flame decals on them.

Accidentally removed half of my post when I was editing it, so let me rewrite it:

On the other hand, certain types don't have very many real life influences to draw from, like Fire-type. While some Fire-types have creative designs (Chandelure line, Magcargo line, etc.), most end up being orange animals with flames/flame decals on them because of how narrow the "fire" theme is.

Water types are literally everything that lives in or near the water, which is a massive amount of things to draw from. The only thing I can see is a big amount of blue but then again poison has a lot of purple.

Quite a lot comes to mind when you think poison, things that secrete it will be spiny to reflect nature where venomous animals look intimidating, things that literally are poison like Muk will be gelatinous. Other types it's quite debatable as to what GF considers of that type; dragon, fairy, bug, ghost, perhaps.
