Another attempt, done with pencil.
I made it's antennae and shell bigger and switched the color scheme of Goodra's stomach and back. This was an attempt to mend the "just gets bigger" problem.

Meant design wise though. I feel its design doesn't convey what it's supposed to be well. I mean it's supposed to be physically stronger than charizard, with Tough Claws and all, and yet it keeps those scrawny ass arms for example. Hell looking at pictures they're actually skinnier.
It could also do without that mouth fire thing. And also those spikes on the shoulders, it looks like it would stab itself in the neck if it as much as raised an arm without being careful.

I made the antennae more pronounced to emphasize the fact that this version of Goodra, like Sliggoo, is blind. Also, it looks more snail-like.
Stripes were unnecessary, the bigger shell just felt kinda bland. I felt they gave it a poison-type vibe (fuck pure dragon-type).

I'm probably putting more effort into this thing than Sugimori did.
