>>19847448The problem with Weezing is that physically, there are better poison type walls that have more consistent ways of restoring health, like Venusaur. Its not very specially bulky. 65/70 special defense is probably going to be taken down in two or 3 hits, even from neutral moves while its own 85 special attack stat (let's be real, that 90 attack stat is never being used. It's too slow and explosion isn't really worth it anyway after the nerf) isn't doing much damage outside of STAB or 4x damage, and poison happens to be a really terrible offensive STAB. It's got a nice movepool(regrettably a lot of it is offensive), but nothing that really sets it apart over say, Qwilfish, who has a nice secondary typing and similar bulk after intimidate. Haze isn't a niche for it anymore now that phasing moves have been introduced and certain Pokemon do it better (Murkrow comes to mind, as well as Golbat and Crobat)Levitate is also a double-edged sword because you can't absorb toxic spikes with it. Regrettably, it just doesn't have enough going for it.
