My rating battle record is horrible so I cant find a match anymore. Is there any way around this? Or am I screwed to never play another rating battle.

what does this even mean "i can't find a match"? i'm sorry i'm not yet into any kind of battling, does the system cast you out if you suck too much? or are the other players that refuse to battle because your score is shit?

It searches for like 5 minutes for someone to battle, then it says an opposing trainer cannot be found.

Not OP, but it is a real issue. The only surefire way to fix it is just to wait until the next season when ratings reset.

You can put your cartridge in a different 3DS and start an online battle. It'll reset your current rating. But it will also make all your Friend Safaris look like the persons were never online. You can still catch Hidden Ability Pokémon though if you unlocked that previously.

This happened to me in gen 5, delete your wifi settings so it acts as a different 3DS then the ratings reset
