Absol is RU for a reason, it's got pretty mediocre defense. I'd suggest making the most of it's 130 base attack stat, and buffing up speed (31 IV, 252 EV into Speed stat) and seeing if you can outspeed your opponent. If you can manage OHKO's before they get an attack off, you're golden

You'll die before you get to set-up. I personally have a Naive one with Protect/Play Rough/Sucker Punch/Fire Blast. Works really well.
