Favourite Pokemon regions? And I only mean the region itself, which can include the overworld, towns, music and even atmosphere. The game it was apart of doesn't matter.
Kanto - I can't help but favour Kanto, since it was my first game and I have fond memories of all of the little towns and cities that I explored, each with their own feeling of personality despite the technological limitations and my imagination as a child. So for me, it has to be,
Hoenn - Very unique atmosphere with the tropical setting, and a vast range of different environments from a volcano, deserts, to a village in the trees, or a city within a mountain. Also, it was very linear and trumpets.
Johto - Everything felt very traditional Japanese as opposed to Kanto which felt more modern. Had the National Park, a town full of Slowpokes and the two towers.
Kalos - Luminose City felt pretty amazing at first , but then just became tedious. There were some interesting landmarks too, such as the Mega Tower or the mystical autumn town but nothing was tooo memorable for me.
Unova - Didn't like the capital, Castelia City, it felt really small despite trying hard to look like a city. Nothing that really sparked much interest in me as a region.
Sinnoh - It had mountains I guess. That was cool. I can't actually remember much about it besides from that.
Kanto > Hoenn > Johto > Kalos > Unova > Sinnoh
