He can already transform into any image of a creature he sees even if they don't exist, like a phoenix or a pre-feathered T-Rex though.

In a canon sense, it seems like he can already transform into any Pokemon.

If he's smart, he be a high tier cape, but nothing special since there are some mons he can't turn into. Like >>19871236 said he can't turn into Genesect or the Magnetmite line for example.

But if he's stupid, he will just turn into any generic mon that looks cool but gets his ass kicked. Tyrantrum/Charizard/Mamoswine are possible examples.

All pokemon are technically animals. Most of the seemingly non-organic mons can still eat food, such as Aegislash eating pokepuffs, so they got some organic traits in them.

Sheninja can't eat the pokepuffs since it's a undead mon. Ghost pokemon are also something to consider. Just because a machine likes food doesn't make it a fleshy.

Are we going by the vidya/anime/or Special rules?

Vidya rules means he's fucked.

Animu rules means he turns into a Wailord and eat it.

Special rules means catching Beastboy has dire effects and Batman fucked up Beast Boy's genetics because Science.

He'll just have to do it quick, whatever he's changing into, something the size of Wailord is gonna take a little bit of extra time to match up the size.

Here's another smart scenario. He uses a Master Ball that's fake and while also sending some electric batarangs that are sure to stun him. Then send in the real one.

Outside of the Flash, Beast Boy at full powers is one of the more impressive supers.
However it's mostly due to the fact that he can transform into a swarm of locusts, have each locust fly into the mouth of someone else, and then transform each locust into a whale or a t-rex.

He becomes much more threatening when doing middling things, such as changing into a firebreathing lion instead of a regular lion, but tapping his full potential... doesn't change all that much
