In OU, Metagross is the worst. It just can't function against good players.
But overall, Goodra is probably the worst. Metagross was good once, in Gen 3 and 4, but Goodra was aggressively mediocre upon arrival. It's the first mono-typed pseudo and is the first psuedo to ever fall to UU (and before you go >using smogon tiers, it's really meh in doubles too) in its debut gen (it's not even that good in UU.) It has the lowest offensive stats of any psuedo, instead function as a special tank (without recovery.) Salamence and Metagross were at least top tier threats once, Hydreigon was sort of okay last gen, but Goodra has never, at point, been good.
>>19869890This isn't "muh patterns." Ever single gen has a had a three-stage line with the final evo having 600 BST and an experience cap of 1.25m, and gen3 has two of them. XY is not an exception. Hydreigon was the one that fit this description, Haxorus was not.
