So im trying to super train a ferroseed and it has the shitty rapid fire ball. How do I EV train this thing? Any strategies that work well with rapid fire?

it seems like more fun than battling hordes. I've tried both and super training is far less monotonous somehow. I usually just pop in a movie and train while watching I'm done by the time it's over.

Supertrain with another pokemon that you're competent with to farm bags for your limp ferroseed.

Git gud and use the rapid fire ball.

Just do Horde Training. Get a Pokémon with Sweet Scent, something with EQ, Rock Slide or Dazzling Gleam, and the power items and your set.

I usually use Super Training for the last 4 EVs or if I don't need a 252/252 spread.

For me it's less about efficiency and more about having a little more fun doing it. I hated the original way of EV training I don't really want to do it anymore.

It seriously takes like 10 minutes to ev train pokemon with hordes if you have pokerus and power items. You can't get pissed of normal ev training that quickly.

I don't understand how people could ever prefer super training to horde training. With the appropriate power item and pokerus, you can get like 50 EVs in a single battle. It's literally 5 battles (plus 1 round of super training or a 6th battle since they're so fucking fast) to get your 252. Even if you need an uneven spread, just do horde training to get near what you need and super training to be precise towards the end. So if you need 170 EVs in speed, go do 3 horde battles then get the last 20 in super training so you're precise about it.

And don't even tell me you can't ev train because you don't have pokerus or the power items. Pokerus is incredibly easy to find on the internet and there's plenty of strategies to get you battle points (usually involving mega kanga).

Super Training is easier because you are still at RNG for getting the right Horde battle. Yes, it may sound petty, but it is not uncommon to go through as many as 4 fucking hordes before you get the right one. That's a lot of fucking unskippable scenes.

You spam the balls at the goals making sure you hit every one of them before they disappear. If you hit them all an orange goal will appear in the center of the balloon which won't disappear when you hit it once and that's where you really do the damage.

I usually do Special Attack on the route with the Daycare. Psyduck and sometimes Roselia hordes. And Attack is Weepinbell/Arbok on the route south of the town with the waterfalls.

I did it; it was ass. I made sure to Horde train her first, at least make the shots do max damage. I find charging the rapid-fire ball works best; not so much for the other varieties, though.

One of these days I'm going to have to take two Pokémon and time how long each takes. I always train my dudes using Super Training and get it done in about 30-40 minutes. Did no one else even attempt to git gud at Super Training or did I miss something critical? The three-minute timer per ST round doesn't mean it takes three minutes to earn 12 EVs. By the end that shit can take as little as 20 seconds.
