So I have to play through this game just to be able to bring my old Pokes over from Gen 4 and 3.

I either want to nuzlocke it and enjoy my first nuzlocke or speed through it. Would this be a good game to Nuzlocke? If not what's the fastest way to get through it? Is there a way to use gameshark codes or something to the effect of that on it?

I'm sorry but honestly I think black 2/white 2 are the best in the series. You should take your time and enjoy it.

BW2 is pretty good, while you can do a Nuzlocke it is generally one of the harder games to start one in due how the early game plays out.

If you can cheat or link with someone who completed Black 2 i would recommend the challenge mode and play normally on that.

Since you skipped BW1 you have plenty of Pokémon you should catch in order to transfer to XY too, meaning a Nuzlocke may be a bit harsh if you (un)luck out and get one of those fucking 1.25% chance encounters.

There is also in game features that explicitly tell you when you caught everything in an area, making this BW2 the easiest to "Catch Em All" in as you go.

So i'd recommend to run with that as goal and then transfer everything you get in it with you Gen III and IV Pokémon.

White 2 is my favourite ingame in the series mate, and I'm an oldfag who started with first gen. It is that good.

Granted, you might not appreciate it as much without having played BW, but I'd still say play it normally and enjoy the huge choice of Pokemon. If you know someone else with the game irl, wait to trade with them so you can get challenge mode.

Story is decent enough for a Pokemon game.
Improvements over the previous one.
Eeeehh... not sure what else. Typical stuff, like music would be much more subjective, so yeah. Pretty much that.

Well the thing is that i've already played X, and I haven't played the previous Black or White version. Also honestly the only time that a Pokemon story has captured my attention at all was with Colosseum when I was in 5th grade and the Looker quests in X and Y. Not trying to downplay your opinion at all though. I'll give a normal play through a try on it

I hardly, if ever, get 'involved' in a story in a Pokemon game. XY was absolute trash, to be honest. But BW and BW2 actually have a story. That's kind of the thing. It's not perfect and I personally wouldn't call it good, as I hold very high standards for stories (I want to write), but there is 'something' in it that cannot be discarded.
Of course, it's a Pokemon game. The stupid shit that you find in other games are likely to be there, too.

Nevertheless, I'm a big HGSS fan (mostly because of muh 8 badges among other things) and I wouldn't put BW2 above HGSS. That doesn't make it un-enjoyable, though.
